Airport Artway Gallery showcases Wheeler Wildlife Refuge

Decatur artist Tracy Roberts' Wonderland series on display in Huntsville International Airport's Artway Gallery (Carnegie Visual Arts Center contributed; 256 Today)

HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville International Airport and Carnegie Visual Arts Center introduced an exhibit Tuesday by Decatur artist Tracy Roberts in the new Airport Artway Gallery.

Roberts is a registered Southern Artist and owner of The Studio on Bank in downtown Decatur.

Located on level 2 of the airport terminal above ticketing, Roberts’ “Wonderland” Artwall series focuses on her personal experiences with the beauty and nature of Wheeler Wildlife Refuge.

The airport’s quarterly rotating micro-gallery exhibits feature regional and local artists. The second-level breezeway also showcases photography and digital art by student artists from Decatur High School.

Carnegie Visual Arts Center has a mission to provide educational and cultural opportunities to the community through programs, collections, and events, and encourages involvement in art at all levels and ages.
