TANNER — Age is no barrier when it comes to Calhoun Community College’s summer camps.
The school released this summer’s schedule and there is something for everyone from elementary-school-age kids to adults.
From cybersecurity to welding, music, technology, athletics, and automotive technology, Calhoun has a wide range of summer activities for every age group.
This year, the college is also offering a high school/adult-age jazz camp at the Alabama Center for the Arts in Downtown Decatur, which includes the opportunity for participants to perform in a live jam session after the camp.
Camps will be held throughout the summer, with new camps continuously offered.
The camps are:
- Men’s Basketball Summer Camp: June 5–6, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Little Warhawks Basketball Camp: June 9–10, 9 a.m. – noon
- Youth Softball Camp: June 9–12, 9 a.m. – noon
- Calhoun Cross Country Camp: June 12–16, 7- 8:30 a.m.
- SWeETy Camp for Girls: June 12–15, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- CyberPatriot Advanced Camp: June 12–16, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- CyberPatriot Standard Camp: June 12–16, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Advanced Automotive Academy: June 13–15, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Jazz Camp – College/High School: June 20-23, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Jazz Camp – Middle School: June 26–30, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
- Cyber Teacher Camp: June 26–30, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Volleyball Playdates: July 10–13, all day
- CyberPatriot Advanced Camp: July 10-14, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- CyberPatriot Standard Camp: July 10-14, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Volleyball Prospect Camp: July 19, all day
- Volleyball Kids Camp: July 20–21. all day
- Women’s Basketball Prospect Camp Showcase: July 22, TBD
- CyberPatriot Advanced Camp: July 24–28, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- CyberPatriot Standard Camp: July 24–28, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
