Alabama A&M hosts Fisk in men’s basketball non-conference finale

NORMAL — The Alabama A&M University men’s basketball team looks to rebound from back-to-back losses when it hosts Fisk tonight. Tip-off for the pre-New Year’s Eve Game is set for 5 p.m. at the AAMU Event Center.

Alabama A&M (6-6) is coming off losses to Ole Miss and Chattanooga and will look to get back into the win column before Southwestern Athletic Conference play begins Saturday.

Fisk (3-14) enters riding a four-game losing streak after falling 110-59 to Austin Peay on Sunday. The Bulldogs have not won a game since Dec. 2 – an 83-56 victory over Crowley’s Ridge.

Kintavious Dozier paces the AAMU offense, averaging 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Koron Davis is posting 11.9 points, while Sami Pissis is registering 11.8 points per contest.

The Bulldogs rank tops in the conference in three-point percentage defense, turnovers per game, scoring defense, field goal percentage defense and defensive rebounds per game,

Scouting Fisk
Fisk has posted solid offensive numbers this season, averaging 76.8 points per game.

Simeon Williams II leads five players in double figures at 13.5 points, while Nicholas Beaird-Kennard (13.1), Kailon Benton-Hamilton (11.5), Kaleb Jeffries (11.1) and Mitch Seay (10.3) also post double figures.

Series History
Alabama A&M has not dropped a game in the series, winning the two previous matchups, including a 103-69 victory on Nov. 13, 2024 on The Hill.
