NORMAL — Alabama A&M’s redshirt senior kicker Victor Barbosa earned multiple weekly honors for his performance in Saturday’s win over Tennessee State in the inaugural Legacy Series game.

Barbosa was selected the Southwestern Athletic Conference Specialist of the Week and received STATS Perform FCS Special Teams Player of the Week Honorable Mention.

The Hialeah Gardens, Fla. native went 3-for-3 in field goal attempts Saturday – including the game-winning points – as the Bulldogs knocked off Tennessee State 23-21 at Nissan Stadium.

Barbosa, who has not missed a field goal since the end of the 2023 season, connected on two field goals of 26 yards in the first half and booted the eventual game-winner, a 45-yarder, late in the third quarter.

Alabama A&M returns to action Saturday against Lane College. Kickoff against the Dragons is set for 6 p.m. from Louis Crews Stadium.
