INDIANAPOLIS — Alabama A&M University senior offensive lineman Carson Vinson finally got his opportunity on the big stage last Sunday inside Lucas Oil Stadium during the 2025 National Football League Scouting Combine.
Vinson, the only HBCU player invited of 329 prospects attending the combine, opened the day by running a 5.12 in the 40-yard dash. His 10-yard split time 1.80 was the 10th fastest during that round.

In the vertical jump, Vinson jumped 28 1/2″ and had a leap of 9 feet, 3 inches in the broad jump, while in the cone drill, he ran a 7.51.
Vinson played in the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl, showcasing his talents among the best college football players.
As a senior, Vinson has racked up multiple postseason honors, including becoming the first HBCU player invited to the Senior Bowl, AFCA FCS All-America Second Team and Phil Steele 2024 SWAC Offensive Lineman of the Year, started in all 48 games for the Bulldogs.

The Morrisville, N.C., native helped the Bulldog offense rank tops in the SWAC in total offense (444.5 yards per game) and passing offense (260.5 yards per game). In addition, the Bulldogs were third in the Southwestern Athletic Conference in rushing offense at 184.0 yards per game. He had an 89% overall offensive line grade with 61 total knockdowns and allowed just one sack, which was against SEC opponent Auburn in the season opener.
Vinson now turns his attention to the NFL Draft, set for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wis. He registered a 9.34 in the Relative Athletic Score (RAS) out of a possible 10.00, which ranked him 92nd overall out of 1,379 offensive tackles from 1987-2005.
