Alabama Bass Trail 100 Series wraps up season at Wheeler Lake

DECATUR – All good things must come to an end and this weekend is the finale for a great thing.

The final Alabama 100 Series tournament of the year launches Saturday at Ingalls Harbor on Wheeler Lake.

The Angler of the Year will be crowned to bring the season to an exciting conclusion while anglers will be vying for top honors and points.

Decatur Morgan County Tourism and the Alabama Bass Trail are hosting the highly anticipated one-day team tournament. Some 100 teams of amateur and professional anglers will compete for a share of the $100,000 total payout.

Anglers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills on Wheeler Lake, a venue known for its record-breaking weights during previous ABT Championship events.

This weekend, the ABT 100 Anglers are on the hunt for largemouth bass and spotted bass with a minimum length of 12 inches, and meanmouth bass and smallmouth bass measuring a minimum of 15 inches.

Spectators should bring lawn chairs and attend the weigh-in at 3 p.m. at Ingalls Harbor. There is no charge for admission.

Tournament coverage is available on YouTube at Alabama Bass Trail TV and on the ABT 100 Facebook page.
