Alabama EMA provides list of warming centers for North Alabama

MONTGOMERY — With the subfreezing cold temperatures that will envelop the area, the Alabama Emergency Management Agency has released a list of warming centers in North Alabama.

  • Colbert County
    Sheffield: Michael Community Center Warming Center – 1001 E. 17th Street. Food and supplies not guaranteed. No pets and no smoking. Property is monitored

    Cherokee Community Shelter – 1211 2nd Street
    Ford City Community Shelter – 14439 County Line Road, Muscle Shoals

  • Cullman County
    Dodge City: Town Hall basement, accessible throughout the weather event.
    Fairview: Etha Baptist Church, open during cold night hours, starting Monday and continuing throughout the week.
    Hanceville: Trinity Pentecostal Church, open as needed during the cold spell.
    Vinemont: At the Foot of the Cross Church, 2101 Co Rd 1435, Vinemont.
    City of Cullman: Donald Green Center, opens as needed during the week.
