Alabama Mountain Lakes hires visitor services representative

DECATUR — The Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association has hired Penne Beasley as a full-time visitor services representative. Beasley is responsible for providing front-line customer service to regional visitors and guests and to support AMLA’s 500 members.

She assumed responsibilities July 5.

“The visitor services representative is a vital member of the organization’s operations team and critical to growing North Alabama’s tourism industry. Penne brings a wide range of valuable skills to our organization and we are looking forward to her contributions to AMLA,” said President/CEO Tami Reist.

Beasley, a Decatur native, reports to Vice President for Operations Angie Pierce. She is responsible for providing customer service while greeting visitors in person and by phone, responding to questions and requests for North Alabama tourism products and Alabama Bass Trail information, maintaining visitor information resources, and responding to member requests.

Beasley replaces Randy Paul Stepleton, who is retiring after 16 years of service.
