ALDOT to close I-65 northbound for bridge repair near Lacon

HUNTSVILLE — The Alabama Department of Transportation plans to close part of I-65 northbound Tuesday night for a bridge repair near Lacon in Morgan County.

Starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, northbound I-65 traffic will detour to U.S. 31 at Exit 318. Message boards will direct motorists.

During the closure, crews will repair a hole in the deck of the northbound I-65 bridge over Flint Creek. ALDOT anticipates reopening all lanes of I-65 by 6 a.m. Wednesday.
