UNION GROVE — The morning commute over Brindlee Mountain will be a little slower for motorists this week.

The Alabama Department of Transportation said crews will perform maintenance paving on U.S. 231 on Brindlee Mountain in Morgan County, weather permitting.

Crews will make pavement repairs on the southbound roadway from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday, ALDOT said

Motorists should expect single-lane closures and delays. ALDOT advises motorists to drive with caution, reduce speed and be prepared to merge.
