WASHINGTON – Cited for his “selfless leadership,” Rey Almodóvar, the co-founder and CEO emeritus of Intuitive Research and Technology, received the John W. Dixon Award at the Association of the United States Army’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

The John W. Dixon Award was established in 1989 and is presented annually for distinguished service in the industrial community resulting in outstanding accountabilities to national defense.
Almodóvar joins 34 other chairmen, chief executive officers, and presidents of major corporations for their notable contributions.
“I am deeply honored to receive the John W. Dixon Award from the Association of the United States Army,” Almodóvar said. “This recognition reflects the perseverance of those I’ve had the privilege to serve alongside in supporting our soldiers and national defense. It has always been my belief that the strength of our nation lies in the selflessness of its people, and I remain committed to serving our Army and its mission, now and in the future.”
In 1999, after a 14-year career as an engineer for the Army, Almodóvar co-founded the Huntsville-based professional engineering and analysis firm. His guidance and expertise over the last 25 years have made Intuitive a renowned aerospace and defense company.
