HUNTSVILLE — How capabilities outlined in the Army’s Modernization Strategy will drive transformational change is the focus of next week’s AUSA Global Force Symposium & Exposition
This year’s theme is “Designing and Sustaining the Army of 2040.” Key topics include designing and sustaining the Army of 2040, materiel modernization for the Army of the future, and manning the Army of 2040.
In-person for the first time since 2019, more than 6,500 people are expected for the symposium, which is March 28-30 in the North, South and East halls of the Von Braun Center and the Mark C. Smith Concert Hall.
Presentations coupled with panel discussions from senior military and industry leaders will address critical points of research and development, acquisition and contracting, force sustainment, strategic divestiture, and industry partnerships.
There will be more than 200 exhibits, showcasing the latest innovations from industry and the Army. Additionally, throughout the event, the Army will run the Warriors Corner, featuring presentations by Army leaders.
According to the AUSA, the Army must continue to streamline its acquisition processes, and continue to invest in the modernization of facilities and infrastructure, training, and skill sets with an eye toward the future, to maintain overmatch for great power competition.
With support from the Army Materiel Command, the Army Futures Command, alongside the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) and other Army commands, this three-day event highlights how the Total Army will modernize and transform into a multi-domain capable force.
