Arts Huntsville winter Tour of Homes this weekend

HUNTSVILLE – Find artistic inspiration right around the corner during Arts Huntsville’s Art Tour of Homes this weekend.

The annual event, presented by Bank Independent, is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Five homeowners and art enthusiasts will open their homes to the public to inspire guests to create or expand their collection of art.

The Art Tour of Homes sets itself apart from traditional home tours by showcasing the displays and collections of local art enthusiasts.

Each home and collection tells its own story and the tour serves as an opportunity to learn about the Huntsville area’s growing and thriving arts community.

Arts Huntsville’s Art Tour of Homes showcases how art is part of living spaces, giving tourgoers a greater understanding of how anyone – on any budget – can use art to enhance their environment.

The homes featured include the Old Town home of Anna and Kyle Husband; the Darwin Downs home of Daniela Perallon and Matt Johnson; the Blossomwood home of Melissa Musgrove; the Twickenham home of Dianne and Calame Sammons; and the Five Points home of Jeff Threlkeld.

This is the second year Arts Huntsville will host two art tours – the second tour is in August.

Visitors may begin the tour at any of the five homes on the day of the event. Tickets are $20 and available for purchase in advance online through TicketSpice. Visitors also may pay at the first house they visit, but the exact amount in cash is required.

The home addresses are available at artshuntsville.org.
