Athens-Limestone Chamber announces Small Business Awards winners

ATHENS — Athens Main Street continues to bring in the awards.

The organization brought home four awards of excellence at last month’s 10th annual Main Street Alabama Conference,

On Wednesday, Athens Main Street was named Nonprofit of the Year during the Athens-Limestone County Chamber Small Business Awards Celebration.

The annual event was held at the Beasley Center. Emcees were Nakell Williams of WAAY-TV and Matthew Jimmerson of Athens Florist & Gifts. 

The winners were:

  • Emerging Business of the Year: Impact Roofing
  • Small Business of the Year (1-10 Employees): United Ink Tattoos & Body Piercings
  • Small Business of the Year (51-250 Employees): Bryant Bank
  • Health/Medical Services of the Year: Singing River Dentistry
  • Manufacturer of the Year: Intech Medical (Intech Athens)
  • Nonprofit of the Year: Athens Main Street
  • Woman Owned Business of the Year: Express Employment Professionals
