Athens-Limestone County Chamber hosting annual Small Business Awards gala

ATHENS — Small businesses are known as the backbone of the community and are a vital component to the county’s economic health.

To celebrate the ingenuity and achievements of local small businesses, the Athens-Limestone County Chamber is hosting the annual Small Business of the Year Awards.

The ceremony is Tuesday from 4-6:30  p.m. at the Alabama Veterans Museum, 100 West Pryor Street in Athens.

The categories are:

  • Emerging Business of the Year
  • Small Business of the Year (1-10 Employees)
  • Small Business of the Year (11-50 Employees)
  • Manufacturer of the Year
  • Nonprofit of the Year
  • Health/Medical Services Business of the Year
  • Woman-Owned Business of the Year
  • Financial/Banking Service of the Year
  • Hospitality Services
