ATHENS – Put on your dancing shoes and feel the rhythm of the street.
Athens Main Street, that is.
The popular Athens Main Street Fridays After Five Music Series returns next month. Presented by The Orthopaedic Center – Athens, the series promises an electrifying array of musical talent that will keep audiences coming back month after month, organizers say.
“We can’t wait to welcome patrons from near and far to join us for what promises to be an unforgettable summer of music and community,” Athens Main Street Executive Director Tere Richardson.
The east side of the Limestone County Courthouse will be transformed into the ultimate destination for live entertainment and community celebration. Attendees will have the opportunity to soak up the vibrant atmosphere and enjoy extended shopping hours with local merchants and delicious food from local restaurants. There will also be different food trucks and children’s activities each month.

- April 26 – Soul Night Featuring The Midnighters
- May 31 – Dance Party Night Featuring Juice
- June 28 – Rock the Square Night Featuring Steel 6
- July 26 – All The Hits Night Featuring Brez
“We are thrilled to unveil such an exciting lineup for this year’s Fridays After Five Music Series,” said Richardson. “With a diverse range of musical genres and talent, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
There is no charge for admission and the party starts at 5 p.m. with DJ Zillion warming up the crowd until 6:30 with the headliners performing from 7-8:30. Bring a lawn chair to rest up between dancing.
