Athens Main Street unveils spectacular lineup for Fridays after Five series

ATHENS – Alan Jackson and the late Jimmy Buffett proudly proclaimed “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.”

And, if you’re in Athens on the the last Friday of the month, that means it’s time for Fridays after Five.

The Athens Main Street-hosted music series is back and organizers are thrilled to announce the stellar lineup. This year’s series promises an electrifying array of musical talent that will keep audiences coming back month after month.

Presented by The Orthopaedic Center, the series will transform the east side of the Limestone County Courthouse into the ultimate destination for live entertainment and community celebration.

Along with the sweet sounds, the vibrant atmosphere also features extended shopping hours with local merchants and delicious food from local restaurants. There will food trucks and children’s activities, as well.

“We are thrilled to unveil such an exciting lineup for this year’s Fridays After Five Music Series,” said Athens Main Street Executive Director Tere Richardson. “With a diverse range of musical genres and talent, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

The lineup for the 2024 Fridays After Five Music Series:

“We can’t wait to welcome patrons from near and far to join us for what promises to be an unforgettable summer of music and community,” Richardson said.

Admission to the Fridays After Five Music Series is free, with the party starting at 5 p.m. with DJ Zillion (https://www.facebook.com/djkjzillion) warming up the crowd until 6:30 p.m. The main performance starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 8:30. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to enjoy the music.
