Chocolate lovers will once again have a reason to stroll downtown as Athens Main Street hosts its 13th Annual Chocolate Walk on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026.
The self guided event will run from noon to 5 p.m. and feature chocolate samples, shopping and dining specials, and prize opportunities at participating downtown businesses. The Chocolate Walk is presented by Dream Key Real Estate.
Participants will begin at the Athens Main Street office, located at 107 N. Jefferson St., where they will pick up their pre-paid tickets, a map of participating locations, and a bag to collect chocolate treats along the route.
Only 350 tickets will be sold for the popular event. Last year’s Chocolate Walk sold out within five minutes, organizers said.
Tickets are $10 plus a processing fee and are limited to five per purchase. They will be available exclusively online through Eventbrite on three separate release dates: Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, at noon; Friday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Jan. 24, at 9 a.m.
In addition to chocolate samples, participating businesses and restaurants will offer special “Sweet Deals” throughout the day. Shoppers who make a purchase at a participating location can enter to win $500 in “Love Bucks,” which can be redeemed at downtown businesses.
The prize drawing is open to all shoppers, even those without a Chocolate Walk ticket. Athens Main Street said Sweet Deals from merchants and restaurants will be posted on its website and social media pages, and any patron with a qualifying purchase can enter to win the Love Bucks.
“This event is perfect for couples, families, and groups,” said Athens Main Street Executive Director Tere Richardson. “Whether you are a local or it’s your first time in Athens, there will be something new and amazing to see and experience.”
