Athens State kicks off LaunchBox leadership development program

ATHENS – Athens State University’s LaunchBox is launching the fall cohort of its leadership development program, LeadUP Leadership Training. This 10-week program is focused on helping entrepreneurs lead their small businesses, but is open to anyone who is interested in improving their leadership skills.

The Fall Cohort will begin Sept. 14. One-hour classes will be Thursday nights at 6:30. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a Leadership Certificate.

Training topics will include:

  • Understanding Leadership
  • Recognizing Your Traits
  • Creating a Vision
  • Communicating & Leading
  • Developing Effective Teams
  • Fostering Motivation
  • Developing Others

LeadUP is grant-funded and offered at no cost to participants. To register, visit www.athens.edu/leadership.
