Aviation & Missile Solutions awarded $16.4M contract for T&E support

HUNTSVILLE – A Rocket City-based defense contractor will be doing a variety of support work over the next five years for the Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center.

Aviation & Missile Solutions has been awarded an EXPRESS (Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services) Task Order valued at $16.4 million, the company announced.

“Aviation & Missile Solutions has been a valued partner of AvMC for more than 20 years, and we’re thrilled to be chosen to deliver critical propulsion and structures capabilities safely and resourcefully to our customer and the warfighter,” said CEO Keith McCollum.

The mission requirements encompass a range of support areas, including service life testing and analysis; propellant and explosive formulation and processing; and equipment maintenance for various missile, propulsion and warhead systems. Additionally, it includes hardware design, fabrication, and computer hardware integration and programming.

“We are proud to partner with Astrion and Aero Thermo Technology, each who bring unique skillsets essential for our success in delivering these services,” said McCollum.

As the prime contractor, AMS will oversee labor, equipment, property and materials needed to operate government test and ancillary equipment for testing and data reduction. We will also assist with documentation of the testing process.

This task order has a five-year period of performance through September 2029 and the work will be performed in Huntsville.
