Bailor named VP marketing for Women in Cybersecurity

HUNTSVILLE — Women in CyberSecurity North Alabama has appointed Sonya Bailor as vice president of marketing and strategy for its board of directors.

An entrepreneur, philanthropist and speaker, Bailor has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and management consulting, the board said.

Board President Kuan Collins said she hand-picked Bailor for the role, recognizing her leadership skills and her ability to think “outside the box.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Sonya Bailor to our board,” said Collins. “She brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience that will be instrumental in our continued success. We look forward to the innovative ideas and strategic vision she will bring to the table.”

The North Alabama affiliate of WiCyS unites women who are cybersecurity professionals with other women locally to create opportunities through professional development programs, conferences, career fairs, and the like.

“I look forward to working with the team to drive growth and innovation while supporting the company’s mission to help build a strong gender-diverse cybersecurity workforce by facilitating recruitment, retention and advancement for women in the field,” said Bailor.
