BlueHalo’s Huntsville operation has been awarded an $11.2 million Air Force contract modification for research aimed at improving airmen readiness and protecting military personnel from operational threats.
The $11,243,255 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification is for the Aiman Improved Readiness program and increases the total value of the previously awarded contract from $29,997,005 to $41,240,260.
The program, also referenced in federal contracting records as Airmen Improved Readiness, or AIR, is an Air Force research and development effort focused on technologies designed to better protect personnel from threats encountered during military operations.
The Department of War identified BlueHalo LLC of Huntsville as the contractor. Work will be performed in Beavercreek, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 13, 2028.
Fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funds totaling $32,147 are being obligated at the time of the modification.
The Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio is the contracting activity.
