While it’s impossible to narrow the physical gap between the two cities, Huntsville City FC is hoping to narrow the gap in the standings.

And, on Saturday, the second-place Boys in Blue (3-1-4, 16 points) have a chance to gain on No. 1 Chattanooga FC (6-1-2, 21 points) at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium.

The can’t-miss match is a first-ever 1 vs. 2 for Huntsville City and it kicks off 7 p.m.

Christian Koffi heads up the HCFC attack and is among the league leaders with four goals in seven matches.

Huntsville City has scored 18 goals in eight games this season and allowed just 7 while Chattanooga has scored 15 goals and gave up 9 in its nine games.

Off the field and adding to Saturday’s excitement, the club is celebrating the birthday of mascot Marshall.

As part of the festivities, all kids 12 and under get in for just $5 in honor of Marshall’s birthday and, to celebrate the club’s third year, there are $3 hot dogs all game long.

New Marshall merch will also be available at the team store.

And, that’s not all.

Wicks Family Field will have nine of the Huntsville Open’s putt putt golf courses to play during the match around the stadium.
