Bradley elevates Osborne to partner; welcomes Howard

HUNTSVILLE – Bradley Arant Boult Cummings rang in the new year with a new attorney and the elevation of another attorney to partner – both in the Huntsville office.

Sarah Sutton Osborne has been promoted to partner and John Howard has joined as counsel in the Real Estate Practice Group.

Howard’s practice is focused on commercial real estate and development, but he has substantial experience with a wide range of corporate legal matters and has served as lead counsel for large commercial transactions and financings regionally and nationally.

He has advised boards of directors on a variety of corporate legal issues in over 20 areas of commercial real estate and development, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial leasing and franchise law to name a few.

“John brings more than 20 years of commercial transaction and financing experience to our team, and we are pleased to welcome him as we build on the broad range of services we provide to our clients,” said Managing Partner Benjamin W. Hutton.

Bradley’s Real Estate Practice Group is deeply embedded in the commercial real estate industry, serving every sector of the market from residential and commercial to industrial, healthcare and hospitality.

The team handles complex, multimillion-dollar projects for large institutions and routine transactions for clients whose primary interests are in real estate investment or development.

Osborne’s practice intersects government contracts law and complex civil litigation.

She advises clients on procurement and federal contracting matters, including compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations/Export Administration export regulations, intellectual property rights, Small Business Administration programs, state procurement law and federal grant issues.

Osbourne regularly represents contractors in litigation and in the prosecution and defense of bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
