ATHENS — It was a special evening for ten local businesses at the Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Awards Gala.
The annual event, held Tuesday night at the Alabama Veteran’s Museum, spotlighted the “ingenuity and achievement” of local small businesses in the area.
“The Small Business Awards Gala was a true testament to the entrepreneurial spirit that drives our community forward,” said Chamber President Pammie Jimmar. “I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the winners, whose dedication and innovation set a remarkable standard, and to every contender whose hard work and passion make our local business footprint vibrant.”
The winners were:
- Emerging Business of the Year – Irons & Ales
- Small Business of the Year (1-10 Employees) – Ming Commercial Real Estate
Group - Small Business of the Year (11-50 Employees) – Martin & Cobey Construction
Company - Woman-Owned Business of the Year – Trinity’s
- Nonprofit of the Year – Birdie Thornton Center
- Hospitality/Restaurant of the Year – The Lofton
- Manufacturer of the Year – Steelcase
- Health/Medical Services of the Year – Hospice of Limestone County
- Financial/Banking Service of the Year – Trustmark Bank & Bryant Bank
- DEIBA Small Business of the Year- Kings Kids Daycare and Learning Center
The event was presented by Launchbox at Athens State University.
