MOORESVILLE – Anna Clem has been named interim executive director of the Singing River Trail, the organization announced today. Clem has served as the Trail’s associate director since 2022.

The move follows this week’s resignation of former Executive Director John Kvach, after his arrest on child pornography charges.

Singing River Trail is a non-profit organization aimed at strengthening regional bonds and creating new opportunities for North Alabama residents.

“I am grateful to serve as the interim executive director during this transition period,” Clem said. “I am committed to working alongside our board and staff to continue our mission and vision of regional collaboration and creating a sense of belonging and opportunity for people throughout North Alabama.”

Her deep experience in nonprofit work strengthens her dedication to community service, civic engagement, and regional development – all core pillars of the Singing River Trail effort, the organization said.

“Anna brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position, allowing Singing River Trial to sustain its positive impact on residents, entrepreneurs, and communities across North Alabama’s eight counties,” said Jared Mitchem, Singing River Trail Board chair. “Anna has the full confidence of the SRT Board of Directors. Her deep understanding of our organization, existing relationships with partners and stakeholders, passion for excellence, and commitment to connecting North Alabama make her uniquely qualified to lead us forward.”

The board will begin a formal search for Singing River Trail’s next executive director.
