CommentSold appoints Daniel Jang as CFO

HUNTSVILLE — CommentSold, a Huntsville-based live e-commerce solution, has hired Daniel Jang as chief financial officer.

Jang brings nearly 20 years of financial strategy and leadership experience to CommentSold, where he will oversee the company’s finance and analytics teams. His duties also include advising the CEO and board of directors on their strategic direction.

The company helps e-commerce retailers grow sales through live selling. This provides retailers with the opportunity to directly engage with multiple customers at once to show off products, make sales and gain a new audience. It enables businesses to acquire potential customers as their personalities shine in real time.

“At this stage of CommentSold’s growth, it’s critical we have the right expertise in place to help dictate future financial and organization initiatives in our pipeline,” said Brandon Kruse, founder and CEO of CommentSold. “CommentSold just hit $2.8 billion in lifetime GMV.

“As we continue to grow financially and expand into new verticals, we are thrilled to bring Daniel’s qualifications into the mix. His authority in strategic finance and analytics and overall leadership in high-growth companies will help shape our company as we move into Q4 and look to the new year.”

Most recently, Jang served as chief financial officer and chief strategy officer for LaserShip, the largest regional e-commerce parcel carrier in the U.S. Jang oversaw the finance, accounting and analytics functions and was instrumental in shaping the company’s strategic development.

During his six-year tenure, the company experienced significant growth through organic channels and acquisitions to a multibillion-dollar enterprise.

Jang was also a partner at Narrow Gauge Capital, a principal at Monitor Clipper Partners, a consultant at Monitor Group, and Urban Fellow at New York City Economic Development Corporation. Jang received a bachelor’s cum laude in economics from Yale University, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa.
