HUNTSVILLE — Representatives from Cyber Huntsville recently took part in a cybersecurity panel discussion for a visiting Kyrgyzstan delegation.

The intent was to plant a seed of an idea that could grow into a Cyber Kyrgyzstan organization modeled after Cyber Huntsville.

Huntsville’s Global Ties Alabama, whose mission is to promote international relationships through citizen diplomacy, brought leaders from around the world to the discussion.

The Kyrgyzstan delegation was part of a U.S. State Department-sponsored program to support emerging democracies by promoting cybersecurity.

The discussion included how Cyber Huntsville was formed, its sponsorship of projects such as U.S. Cyber Camp and the National Cyber Summit, and it’s grown into a successful organization.
