Decatur motorcyclist killed in collision with car

DECATUR – A motorcyclist was killed today in an early morning collision with a car in Decatur, police said.

According to Decatur police, the motorcyclist, Marcus Allen Hastings, 32, of Decatur, was travelling south on U.S. 31 when he collided with a vehicle turning onto Lenwood Road from the median. Hastings was pronounced dead on the scene.

The wreck happened around 7:15 a.m., police said. The investigation is ongoing.
