Fall fun awaits down at Hidden Rivers Farm

HARTSELLE — The start of fall is approaching and Hidden Rivers Farm is ready for visitors to enjoy all things autumn.

Picking the perfect pumpkin, getting lost in a maze and experience a bit of farm life are just a few of the activities lined up since the family farm opened Friday.

The family-owned farm, at 169 Goose Pond Road, is open to the public 4-8 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 30.

Activities include a maze, animal encounters, pony rides, a corn pit, nature trails and climbing a tire mountain.

Visitors can also take a piece of autumn home by picking a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

For football fans, there will be a tailgate tent with two televisions, cornhole, seating areas and grills available to rent, making it the perfect place to enjoy a day of tailgating while the kids play in a safe area.

Here is a schedule of events:

  • Sept. 23, Oct. 7, & Oct. 14 – Adult nights.
  • Sept. 24-25 – Color Spray Fest. Wear white, bring eye protection and be ready get sprayed with washable paint.
  • Sept. 30-Oct. 2 – bring five canned food items and receive one bag of animal feed or small pumpkin for free.
  • Oct. 1, 15, 21, & 28 – Explore the Moonlight Maze – in the moonlight.
  • Oct. 8-9 – Great American Heroes
  • Oct. 9 – Paint a Pumpkin Day
  • Oct. 15 – Tailgates and Sports Fan Celebration
  • Oct. 30 – Spooky, Kooky and Funny Halloween

A single day pass is $8 per person for Fridays and $10 per person Saturdays and Sundays. Admission at the gate and season passes are $30 per person. Admission is free for children 2 years old and under.

Farm passes include unlimited access to the maze, corn pit, tailgate tent, animal encounter area, playground, games, trails, activities and pumpkin patch for the entire day.

Items for additional purchase include pony rides, animal feedings and pumpkins. Passes may be purchased at the gate or online by clicking here.
