FLORENCE — A former White House press secretary and a victim of human trafficking are joining to aid awareness of human trafficking.
The second annual Fight for Freedom benefit for Holos Hope features Kayleigh McEnany and Rebecca Bender. The event is Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Marriott Shoals Conference Center.
Holos Hope, a Florence nonprofit, provides hope and healing to women who have survived human trafficking, prostitution, and addiction and empowers them to find their purpose and live in freedom.
There is a group rate available for 10 or more tickets. Sponsorships are available for individuals and businesses. Sponsor levels begin at $500 and include VIP access, including dinner, meet and greet, gift, recognition, and more. For information, contact [email protected] or call 256-810-5334.

After escaping her trafficker in 2007, Rebecca was determined to make a new life for herself and her young daughter. In 2014, she launched Elevate Academy, a school for survivors of human trafficking. Within eight years, the school had served nearly 1,000 students. A CEO and author, her specialized training has helped more than 100,000 professionals, including FBI, Homeland Security, law enforcement, community leaders, and medical professionals.

A press secretary for former President Donald Trump, McEnany is co-host of “Outnumbered” on the Fox News Channel. Prior to serving in the White House, McEnany worked as the national press secretary for the Trump Campaign, was the national spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, and a political commentator at CNN. She graduated from Harvard Law School with a Juris Doctor and Georgetown University School of Foreign Services with a degree in international politics. She is the author of The New York Times bestseller “For Such a Time as This” and the author of the upcoming book, “Serenity in the Storm: Living through Chaos by Leaning on Christ.”
