Florence celebrates Spirit of Freedom in 41st annual event

FLORENCE – Get ready for an exciting Independence Day celebration in Florence with food trucks, live music, and fireworks. 

The 41st annual Spirit of Freedom Celebration will be Thursday at McFarland Park. Admission to the event is free, and food trucks will begin serving at 11 a.m.

Live music cranks up at 3 p.m., and fireworks will light up the Tennessee River after sunset.

Performers include Austin Bohannon, Outlaw Apostles, Local Brand of Florence, OddlyGinger, and Taylor Grace. All the musicians are from the Shoals or have ties to the local community.
