gBeta accelerator showcases thriving entrepreneurship

HUNTSVILLE — Statistics compiled by software company Freshbooks, who specializes in cloud accounting software for small and start-up businesses show that 24 million Americans wanted to leave their jobs and work for themselves by 2021.

Many business-minded people dream of starting their own business but being locked down at home gave them an opportunity to take those ideas more seriously .

Due to the technological expertise of North Alabama residents, entrepreneurship has always been a sweet spot for those looking to start a new business. And, since COVID, entrepreneurship has been on steroids.

Gener8tor has helped dozens of small and start-up businesses organize and focus on the things that will give their business a kickstart. Things such as working out kinks in a business plan, creating budgets and marketing strategies and, yes, finding financing to take their business to the next level.

In partnership with Made in Alabama, MidCity Accelerator Foundation, and RCP Cos., gener8tor is hosting the gBETA Huntsville Spring 2023 showcase June 26 from 5:30-8 p.m. It will be at the Jefferson Hotel, 106 Jefferson Street in downtown Huntsville.

Members of the spring accelerator cohort will pitch their companies to an audience. Those businesses are looking to solve problems across many industries including Business to Business, Software as a Service, and consumer packaged goods.
