HUNTSVILLE — Alabamians looking for work and opportunity in the Huntsville area will soon have the chance to connect with professionals from a multibillion-dollar industry.
Go Build Alabama, an initiative aimed at growing and strengthening the construction industry in the state, will be hosting a hiring event Aug. 8 in the Rocket City. The occasion will give career seekers the ability to interact with industry representatives who can connect them to potential jobs in commercial construction.
“The Go Build Alabama hiring event provides a unique opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in construction,” said Jason Phelps, executive director of the Alabama Construction Recruitment Institute. “Our goal is to connect job seekers with top-tier employers while fostering economic growth and workforce development in Huntsville.”
Representatives of Alabama-licensed commercial and industrial construction companies will be on hand for on-site interviews and immediate hiring opportunities.
The event is open to the public but the goal is to draw high school seniors and those looking to make a career change.
It will begin at 10 a.m. and lasts till 3 p.m. at the Jaycee Community Building, 2200 Jaycee Way.
