OWENS CROSSROADS — Construction on a development billed as a “unique, but cozy community gathering spot” is underway after a well-attended groundbreaking ceremony last week.
Cove Creek Village is the product of a partnership between owners TJ Lee and Dana and Scott Averbuch. The 14,160 square-foot retail development will have a blend of English and French architecture with a landscaped promenade featuring casual dining, upscale shopping, and outdoor entertainment.
“We wanted to deliver a unique, but cozy community gathering spot for friends and families in the Hampton Cove and surrounding communities,” said Lee. “As you can see, Cove Creek Village is distinctly different from other retail plazas in Huntsville. Our planned design is based on some big city concepts but scaled to be a cozy gathering spot for friends and families.
“With delivery scheduled for February 2025, we are excited about getting this project off the ground.”
Scott Averbuch described what visitors will experience.
“Imagine strolling through a lighted and canopied courtyard with seating for dining, relaxing or watching a cornhole match on the lawn,” he said. “That is the essence of Cove Creek Village.”
In keeping with the “Old Village” Architecture and tenant mix, the owners are seeking other upscale shopping, dining, and outdoor entertainment partnership opportunities. The center’s first two tenants will be Taziki’s Mediterranean Café and The Brass Tap Craft Beer Bar.
Cove Creek Village is at 6407 U.S. 431, just minutes from the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
