HUNTSVILLE — Huntsville attorney H. Harold Stephens recently received the President’s Award from the Alabama State Bar Association. The award, which recognizes members who exemplify the motto of the Alabama State Bar – “Lawyers Render Service,” was presented June 25 at the association’s annual meeting.

Stephens is a partner in Bradley Arant Boult Cummings’ Huntsville office. His practice is focused on health care litigation, defending physicians in medical liability claims, as well as hospitals, nurses and other health care providers.

“Harold is tremendously deserving of this award, which honors his dedication and years of service to the bar, and by extension, to the state of Alabama,” said Frank Caprio, Bradley Huntsville office managing partner. “We are proud of Harold’s exceptional work and of this special recognition.”

Stephens also represents clients in business and commercial disputes, including trade secret litigation, fraud and contract cases and computer software disputes. He is a charter member of the Alabama Academy of Attorney Mediators and a member of the Panel of Neutrals for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

Stephens serves as a member of the Alabama Supreme Court Commission on Alternative Dispute Resolution and the Alabama Supreme Court Rules of Evidence Committee. He has been a board member of the Farrah Law Society at the University of Alabama since 1998.
