HealthSource Chiropractic opens in Madison

MADISON — Nearly 65 million Americans report a recent episode of back pain, according to the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute. And some 16 million adults — that is 8% of all adults — experience persistent or chronic back pain that limits their ability to perform certain everyday activities.

Furthermore, back pain is the sixth-most costly condition in the United States and the leading cause of workday loss.

With those statistics, Madison welcomed Chattanooga chiropractor Dr. Jamey Richeson, who just moved to Madison to open his HealthSource Chiropractic clinic at 525 Hughes Road.

“The move has been an awesome experience,” he said during the grand opening and ribbon-cutting last week. “I spent four years with a chiropractic practice in Chattanooga, but HealthSource gave me the opportunity to own my own practice and to get my feet on the ground in a growing community.”

HealthSource Chiropractic accepts customer and medical referrals and walk-ins. HealthSource encourages appointments, though, which can be done quickly and easily on their website by clicking here.

“If I discover an issue I cannot fix in my office, I will make a referral to an orthopedic doctor and I hope the medical community does the same,” Richeson said.

HealthSource’s goal to get people healthier by correcting spinal problems is just one piece of the practice’s mission.

Richeson’s staff believe in offering their hand in aid to the communities where they have clinics.

That sentiment was on full display at the grand opening as the Greater Huntsville Humane Society and the Downtown Rescue Mission were on hand.

Guests were also treated to Chick-fil-A and coffee from Black Dog Sounds & Grounds, whih also provided the audio for the event. That was something that got Madison Mayor Paul Finley particularly excited.

“Any time you have Chick-fil-A, puppies and coffee for an event, it’s a good day,” he said.

“I discovered chiropractic care while playing basketball my senior of high school. I woke up one morning and couldn’t put on my socks. After going to a chiropractor, it helped so much I was back playing within a week.”

Finley recalled Richeson coming to meet him in his office when he arrived in Madison in February.

“I know what a big deal this is for you and as a community, we try to make it as easy as possible for businesses of quality to open a business here,” Finley said.

“Thank you for your investment and know I believe in what you do. You and HealthSource are going to add value to our community.”
