Hexagon awarded $34.7 million Marine Corps contract modification for emergency response system

Hexagon US Federal Inc. in Huntsville has been awarded a $34.7 million contract modification to support the U.S. Marine Corps’ Consolidated Emergency Response System, according to a Department of Defense announcement.

The firm-fixed-price modification exercises Option Year Three of the contract, providing a 12-month period of sustainment for the system, which delivers hardware, software and services for emergency response operations at Marine Corps installations. The contract has a total cumulative value of $34,732,868 and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2027.

Fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $9,854,274 were obligated at the time of the award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The award was issued as a sole-source procurement under federal acquisition regulations. The Marine Corps Systems Command is the contracting activity.

Hexagon US Federal is part of Hexagon AB, which maintains a significant presence in Huntsville focused on digital reality solutions, including sensor, software and autonomous technologies for defense, aerospace and industrial applications.

The company’s local operations support a range of public safety and infrastructure efforts, including computer-aided dispatch software used by 911 centers and geospatial and utility management systems.

Hexagon also provides federal and defense technology solutions, including advanced data and surveillance capabilities, to partners at Redstone Arsenal.

Hexagon has a longstanding history in Huntsville, tracing its roots to Intergraph, a technology company that later became part of the global Hexagon organization.
