How lovely art thou branches: Tinsel Trail opening in downtown Huntsville

(City of Huntsville contributed)

HUNTSVILLE — Downtown Huntsville will stand in splendid Christmas beauty this week at the opening ceremony for the Tinsel Trail.

Presented by Meta, more than 400 live Christmas trees go on display Friday, with each tree on the trail sponsored and decorated by a local corporation, group, or family.

Carolers from Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theatre will make beautiful Christmas music before and after the lightning of the trees in Big Spring Park.

Some say Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance as well, so you better watch out!

There is no charge to stroll through this winter wonderland. It will be open through Jan. 2.
