Schyler B. Burney, an associate with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, has been recognized by the American Bar Association with a national award highlighting emerging leaders in healthcare law.
Burney was named a recipient of the ABA’s Sixth Annual Emerging Young Lawyers in Healthcare Award, which recognizes members of the organization’s Health Law Section for achievement, leadership and service in the field. She received the honor April 10 at the Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law Conference in Nashville.
“Schyler is a talented young attorney who has built a strong foundation in healthcare litigation and consistently demonstrates a commitment to client service,” said Bradley Huntsville Office Managing Partner Benjamin W. Hutton. “We are pleased to see her recognized by the ABA for her leadership and her contributions to the legal healthcare community.”
Burney focuses her practice on healthcare litigation, including Medicare Advantage regulatory disputes, government investigations and toxic tort cases, and has experience at both the trial and appellate levels.
She is active in both professional and community organizations, serving on the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Development Council and the Young Lawyers Board of the Huntsville Bar Association, and is a member of the Alabama State Bar. She was also selected for the 2026 cohort of Momentum’s Upward leadership program in Huntsville.
Burney earned her law degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Auburn University.
The ABA’s Health Law Section represents attorneys and professionals across the healthcare industry and focuses on legal issues shaping the field.
