Huntsville City FC continues hot streak at home, defeats New York Red Bulls II

There’s no place like Joe Davis Stadium in August for the Huntsville City FC.

In front of more than 4,000 screaming fans, The Boys in Blues managed to continue their win streak at home on Saturday, downing the New York Red Bulls II in the process. Huntsville took home the win with a final score of 3-2.

HCFC got on the board early after a series of passes ended with Woobens Pacius finding Jony Bolaños, who fired the ball into the far corner for his sixth goal of the season. The team doubled their lead when Axel Picazo sent the ball past the keeper into the net for his third goal of the season. Huntsville got its third goal when Ollie Wright’s long pass to Bolaños, who beat the keeper to the far corner for his second goal of the night and seventh of the season.

Bolaños is now leading the team in goals after scoring his sixth and seventh of the season in Saturday’s match.

The Boys in Blue will be back in action next Sunday when they take on Toronto FC II at 2 p.m. CT at York Lions Stadium.
