HUNTSVILLE — The Huntsville Havoc are making some major noise with their current high level of play and continued sky-high attendance.
The team is in first place in the Southern Professional Hockey League with a record of 10-2-2. Additionally, the Havoc has an impressive 26-game sellout streak going.
“I believe the consistency of the sellouts is driven by three main factors: the growing Huntsville community, the passionate and loyal season ticket holders, and the Havoc’s commitment to enhancing the game experience,” said club President Josh Strickland. “The team has worked hard to raise the entertainment value at each game while keeping tickets relatively affordable for families and fans of all ages.”
Strickland explained why the Havoc are experiencing a high level of success and attributed much of it to top-tier coaching.
“As for the team’s success, it starts with the foundation built by (Executive General Manager) Glenn Detulleo, who coached here for 11 years and established a winning culture,” he said. “That culture has carried over seamlessly with Coach Stuart Stefan, who played under Glenn for eight years and understands the high standards we set.
“The players we attract are drawn to that culture, and it creates a strong team environment.”
He also noted the “significant bond” between the Havoc and the Huntsville community that has continued to grow.
“We’ve raised over $2.5 million for local charities, which has helped strengthen the connection between the team and the fans,” Strickland said. “Many of our players end up making Huntsville their home long after their careers end, which speaks to the lasting relationship we have with the city.”
As a thank you to loyal fans, tickets for the venue’s 300-section for the Havoc’s game against Evansville this Thursday have been slashed to $5 each.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 256-518-6160 or on Ticketmaster.
