HUNTSVILLE — Taking it “1×1,” country singer Jake Owen will take the stage Saturday to open Huntsville’s Orion Amphitheater for the 33rd annual Huntsville Classic Concert.

Owen brings his Up There Down Here tour to Huntsville’s newest music venue in a benefit show for the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. Before the concert, there will be a live auction for the not-for-profit Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children. Proceeds from the concert and auction will help fund specialized pediatric services and the Canines for Coping facility dog program.

The Huntsville Classic has raised more than $7.4 million since its start in 1989.

Owen recent dropped the single “1×1,” following earlier drops “Drunk On A Boat,” “Fishin’ On A River,” “Up There Down Here,” and current Top 20 and rising single “Best Thing Since Backroads,” with more new music due to release this year.

Owen teased the new song on social media, saying, “One by one, year after year, song by song I’m constantly trying to improve myself and my career. This song, aptly titled ‘1×1,’ is very fitting for where I am in my life right now.

“It’s one of the best songs I’ve been a part of recording and something I’m really proud of. One by one, day by day, step by step, I’m working on a better me.”

Gates open at 7 p.m. and the concert is at 8. For tickets, visit www.theorionhuntsville.com.
