HUNTSVILLE – To promote a healthier Huntsville, the city is inviting residents to its annual North Alabama Health and Wellness Fair.
The event, set for Calhoun Community’s Huntsville campus this weekend, will promote healthy living and provide essential health screenings to residents, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, HIV, depression, and more.
Healthy snacks, door prizes, and expert health resources are also on the agenda.
“The annual North Alabama Health & Wellness Fair is a wonderful opportunity for residents to take advantage of free medical testing and valuable wellness information in a supportive, inclusive environment,” said Kenny Anderson, director of the city’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. “Together, we can build a healthier, stronger Huntsville for everyone.”
The event will feature a Walk for Healthy Living from 8:30 a.m. to noon, encouraging participants of all ages to stay active and take steps toward a healthier lifestyle.
Additionally, Spanish interpreters will be on hand to assist those who require language support.
The fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
