The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber is partnering with the local Alabama Career Center, the Alabama Community College System, nonprofits and community agencies to connect job seekers with area employers during the upcoming ReLaunch Job Fair.

The free event for job seekers will be held Tuesday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Huntsville. Attendees should use Entrance No. 7 on St. Clair Avenue, across from the Huntsville/Madison County Public Library.

Organizers say the ReLaunch Job Fair is designed to support individuals who are changing careers, unemployed or underemployed, have not completed high school, or are seeking a second chance in the workforce.

The Chamber’s goal is twofold: to help local companies find capable workers and to empower members of the community by improving quality of life and financial stability.

In addition to meeting with employers, job seekers will have access to free onsite resources, including English-to-Spanish and Spanish-to-English interpretation and translation services, as well as résumé assistance and a copy/print station.

There is no cost for job seekers to attend. Employers may participate for a fee, with discounted rates available for Chamber members and nonprofit organizations.

Job seekers are encouraged to register in advance or sign up at the door on the day of the event.
