HUNTSVILLE — A report of a possible runaway resulted in the arrest of a Huntsville man on human trafficking and drug charges, Huntsville police said.
According to HPD, around 11 a.m. Monday officers responded to a report of a possible runaway at a motel in the 3700 block of University Drive.
Police said information indicated the missing 14-year-old girl may have been with an adult male.
At the room, officers contacted James Randall Bolden, 35, of Huntsville.
There, they found the teenager along with two firearms, more than 175 grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.
An investigation by HPD’s Anti-Crime Team, Community Relations Officers and Special Victims Unit revealed that Bolden was allegedly supplying the victim with drugs and engaging in sexual activity with her.
He was arrested and booked into the Madison County Jail on the following charges:
- Human trafficking, first degree
- Statutory rape, second degree
- Trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession with intent to distribute
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm
This case remains under investigation, police said.
