Local musicians, venue operators and music fans are invited to gather later this month as the Huntsville Music Office hosts its first Quarterly Music Meetup of 2026.

The free community event will take place Tuesday, March 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the recently reopened Tip Top Cafe, located at 125 Maple Ave. NW.

Organizers say the meetup is designed to bring together artists, creative professionals, venue owners, industry stakeholders and supporters of the local music scene to network, collaborate and hear updates on music initiatives planned for the coming year.

Huntsville’s Music Officer Matt Mandrella said the gathering follows a milestone year for the city’s music programs.

“2025 was a record-breaking year for the Huntsville Music Office,” Mandrella said. “In 2026, we’re focused on refining and expanding the programs and events that have helped strengthen Huntsville’s music ecosystem, including initiatives like our Music Ambassador Program and the 805 After Five concert series.”

The event will also give attendees a chance to see the newly revived Tip Top Cafe, a longtime gathering place for musicians that reopened in late 2025 after extensive renovations. The venue had been closed for more than two decades before its recent return.

“If you haven’t been to the Tip Top yet, this is a great opportunity to see how the owners have modernized the space while staying true to the venue’s roots and the nostalgia that longtime fans remember,” Mandrella said.

Admission to the meetup is free, and refreshments will be available for purchase. Organizers encourage community members interested in Huntsville’s music scene to attend and join the conversation about its future.
