Huntsville’s Adia Andrews and producer Kelvin Wooten score 2026 Grammy nominations

The Huntsville Music Office is congratulating two North Alabama music talents as they celebrate recognition on the national stage with nominations for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

Huntsville-area artist Adia Andrews and Grammy-winning producer Kelvin Wooten both earned nods in this year’s Grammy lineup, highlighting the region’s growing impact in gospel and R&B music.

Adia Andrews, a Sparkman alum known professionally as ADIA, received her first Grammy nomination in the Best Gospel Performance/Song category for her songwriting contribution to Amen, performed by Birmingham-born contemporary gospel artist Pastor Mike Jr.

The song is among the nominees in a category recognizing excellence in traditional and contemporary gospel music and songwriting.

Also earning Grammy recognition is North Alabama-based Kelvin Wooten, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer whose work is featured on two nominated R&B albums: “Why Not More?” by Coco Jones and “Escape Room” by Teyana Taylor. Both projects are up for Best R&B Album at this year’s awards.

Wooten has long worked behind the scenes with major artists across R&B, soul, and pop, and has collaborated with the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire, Mary J. Blige and others throughout his career.

The Grammy Awards ceremony is set for Sunday, Feb. 1, with the pre-show beginning at 2:30 p.m. CT.
