Huntsville to host 2026 NJCAA DII Men’s and Women’s Soccer National Championships

HUNTSVILLE – Citing Huntsville’s “electric atmosphere,” the National Junior College Athletic Association announced its Division II Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships is returning to Huntsville next year.

“The 2024 National Tournament in Huntsville was an incredible showcase of the talent throughout NJCAA DII Men’s and Women’s Soccer,” said Jerrett Mills, DII Men’s Soccer Chair. “The matches were intense, and the atmosphere electric. It was a first-class event that gave all participating student-athletes an extraordinary opportunity.

“We look forward to returning to Huntsville in 2026 and providing this same experience for our student-athletes.”

The event is Nov. 15-21, 2026 at the Spencer Sports Complex November in John Hunt Park. 

“We look forward to welcoming everyone for what is going to be an exciting week with soccer national championships here in Huntsville at the Spencer Sports Complex,” said Mark Russell, executive director of the Huntsville Sports Commission. “Our team is focused on making this a tremendous experience for everyone and look forward to a great event.”

The Spencer Sports Complex has hosted numerous NJCAA National Championships including DII Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Cross Country, Half Marathon, and Beach Volleyball. 

The facility features four championship multi-use fields, NCAA-approved lighting, digital scoreboards, two press boxes, locker rooms, sound systems, plaza area with shade sails and picnic facilities, and expanded parking and stadium seating to accommodate up to 5,000 fans

“Anytime you host a national championship is a special privilege, but we are honored to host the Soccer National Championships in Huntsville at the Spencer Sports Complex in 2026,” said Joel Lamp, sports development manager of the Huntsville/Madison County Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We are proud to partner with the NJCAA on hosting these championships and look forward to making several memorable events that will showcase our city.”
