HUNTSVILLE — Huntsville Utilities will host its second annual Business Matchmaker Expo at the Von Braun Center East Hall. The event is May 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As a nonprofit public service, the event matches local, large companies with minority-, women-, and veteran-owned small businesses.

Large companies will have the opportunity to meet small business owners, learn about their products and services, and diversify their supplier bases.

Small business owners will learn how to supply their goods and services with larger companies, uncover their procurement processes, and receive vendor applications and other pertinent information.

The event is free to the small businesses and corporate partners. Participating corporate partners will receive free 10-by-10-foot booth space with a table and two chairs.
